Every Tuesday, Rusty points out some essential new music and movies that you should probably go and buy.
Dean & Britta release their second album together (and first as husband and wife,) Back Numbers. The album doesn't stray far from their 2003 debut, L'avventura, showcasing their harmonies and love for the classics. This time around, the Tony Visconti produced effort shows stunning new originals ("Crystal Blue R.I.P.," "Singer Sing") and the usual round of covers (Donovan's "Teen Angel," Lee Hazelwood's "You Turn My Head Around.") Make sure to catch D&B when they hit the road in March.

03/08 - World Cafe Live - Philadelphia
03/09 - Museum of Fine Arts - Boston
Philadelphia's own (and college classmates to Stranded In Stereo's own Dany Sloan) Dr. Dog return with their fifth album, We All Belong. After successful runs on the road with My Morning Jacket and their good friends Cold War Kids and Elvis Perkins, the Dog are ready to take over the world on their own with their brand of southern-fried goodness. Fans of all the bands mentioned above will be able to find something they like about their accessible hooks and, uh, howling vocals (no pun intended.)

The self-proclaimed "Greatest Rock Band in the World" Tenacious D hit the big screen late last year with Tenacious D In The Pick Of Destiny. The film tells the heartwarming tale of how Jack Black and Kyle Gass became known to the world as "The D" (spoiler alert: birthmarks on their butt cheeks.) I remember seeing an advance screening hosted by Stranded In Stereo at CMJ last year, and I laughed a lot (I still think Borat wins for funniest movie of 2006.) So for those of you who can't get enough, the DVD comes with several deleted and extended scenes, as well as multiple alternate endings and outtakes that will make you believe that they truly are The Greatest Rock Band in the World.

On the music DVD front, Nine Inch Nails highlight their 2005 North American tour for With Teeth on Beside You In Time. The feature presentation culls 19 songs from their winter arena tour, while the DVD features 6 bonus performances from their summer tour with TV On The Radio and Bauhaus. Being the audio and visual compulsive he is, Trent Reznor presents the show to you in either standard DVD or HD DVD/Blu-Ray. This should tide over most fans who are eagerly anticipating the new NIN record, Year Zero, which Interscope will release on April 17th. Rolling Stone has a very good write-up to that whole marketing scheme Reznor has concocted for Year Zero which I won't even attempt to explain.

GoDaddy tech support is so frustrating. First, I used their applications panel to install joomla, but after i
uploaded my local site via ftp, it didn't work. I called GoDaddy support and they also tend not to give support for migrating an area site to their host. You simply need to build it from the beginning using their installation. That stinks. Solutions?.
