Band of the Week: goFASTER>>

Hi my name is Rich and I sing and play guitar in the band goFASTER>>. We were all best friends before forming the band two years ago in our hometown of Liverpool, England. Our influences vary from the eccentric English pop of Blur and XTC, combined with American alternative bands such as Talking Heads, Devo, Owls and Explosions in the Sky. Like many previous and current bands from Liverpool (Just don't mention the "B" Word!) we like to retain a pop element to the songs, we just try and take a completely different route to get there! Since forming, we've released a couple of singles on UK indie labels, an album in Japan, and have recently just finished an extensive UK tour with our hometown siblings The Wombats. Our first EP "A Modern Education" will be released in the UK and download in March 2009 on Alcopop/BSM records.
