SiS 2007: The Top 30 of 2007 #20-#11 & Top Movies

It's the middle of the week, and coincidentally enough the middle of our look back at 2007. While we look at the mid section of the Top 30 albums, we also take a look back at some of the best movies that came out this year as well. I don't know why, but it was a lot harder ranking this portion of the chart, I'm still not satisfied with how it turned out, so much that at post time your faithful blogger made yet another last minute change and made a rather significant move.

The Top 30 Albums of 2007, Part Two:
20. Modest Mouse // We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank // Epic
19 The Shins // Wincing The Night Away // Sub Pop
18. UNKLE // War Stories // Surrender All
17. Film School // Hideout // Beggars
16. The Clientele // God Save The Clientele // Merge
15. Band Of Horses // Cease To Begin // Sub Pop
14. Broken Social Scene Presents: Kevin Drew / Spirit If... // Arts & Crafts
13. Elvis Perkins // Ash Wednesday // XL
12. Arcade Fire // Neon Bible // Merge
11. Rogue Wave // Asleep At Heaven's Gate // Brushfire

The Top Movies 0f 2007:
No Country For Old Men: Badass. I still refuse to say anything because someone might read this and still missed out on seeing the film. It's badass: that is all I will say about it.
Superbad: Might be the funniest movie I have ever seen. Also, the greatest Halloween costume idea I ever came up with after I was a block from the party in another costume (next year, Rusty, next year. Don't go and steal my idea, damnit.)
Zodiac: I don't know about the rest of you, but near 3-hour true crime pieces are something I fawn over at the drop of a hat. And it will get a few minutes longer when that "Director's Cut" is released in January. Thank God.

Tomorrow, we begin to unveil the cream of the crop, the Top 10 Albums of 2007, by looking at #10--#6. Until then, tell you friends and grandparents to stop by the blog to check out all this activity and send in your Top 10 lists so I can put them up throughout next week. Please. Pretty please. Thank you.
